A New Internationalism
The Complete Works Festival in 2006 was the biggest International project in the RSC’s history – presenting all of Shakespeare’s plays, sonnets and songs over a year– and a demonstration of the RSC’s commitment to international collaboration. Recent partnerships include a 5 country tour of King Lear and The Seagull, a co-production with Baxter Theatre, Capetown, a season of new and classic Russian plays, and a new program with Middle Eastern artists and agencies. In 2012 the RSC will produce the World Shakespeare Festival as part of the London Olympics.
